To every car, your dog: Volkswagen surprises us with its campaign “Woofwagen”

The German automobile company Volkswagen usually surprise the public with great and original campaigns that give the brand an added value of originality highly appreciated by consumers.

The last campaign automaker based in Wolfsburg called“Woofswagen” was created by London agency adam & eveDDB and will delight lovers of dogs.

The one-minute spot shows different models of the vehicles of the brand from a very original vision: that of the faithful friends of the man, the dogs. Each model is shown with a dog of a different breed being blown out of the window.

The motto of the campaign reads “there is a Volkswagen for each of us,” and judging by the variety of cars and dogs we see on the spot, it seems that this statement is more than certain.

To complement the fun spot, Volkswagen has created a section within its website dogbreedindex.com through which users can choose their ideal car from a wide catalog of 36 dogs.

We will see if this spot gets the hit of the award-winning ad ” The Force ” that came out two years ago and already has more than 58 million hits on the popular YouTube video platform.

Volkswagen launches campaign Advertising this weekend in the UK. Under the title “There’s a Volkswagen for all of us,” the brand compares all its car models with different dog breeds.

To make the simile, Volkswagen has created a catalog of cars with 36 dogs of 27 breeds different. It can be consulted in a microsite created for the campaign.

Each dog represents the personality and distinctive features of each car model. 

In addition, the brand wants to start the conversation around the dogs and people’s favorite cars. For this they have created the hashtag #woofwagen .

The entire campaign is the work of Adam & Eve DDB . And it goes hand in hand with the campaign “The Bark Side” Volkswagen launched for the 2012 Super Bowl.
