This photographer spent 12 years of his life taking pictures of how human life is born

Swedish photographer and also a gynecologist Lennart Nilsson spent 12 years of his life taking pictures of the developing fetus in the womb.

These photographs were taken with cameras amazing magnifying lenses, an endoscope and scanning electron microscope.

Nilsson uses a hundred thousand times increase directly in the uterus. His first image of the human fetus was in 1965.

And it is worth looking at the page Lennart Nilsson has many other photos and videos of the human fetus.

For me the pictures of the two sperm disputing the egg is the most impressive.
